Murals Designed and Painted by Bob Henry

          Enviro Challenger                                         City of Tacoma

Bob designed and painted this van an Environmental educational program for K-5  Tacoma Public School District. On the Mt Rainier side of the van is a depiction of the Puyallup River with Salmon going up and down stream, along with another success story; the American bald eagle.   The City of Tacoma side of the van, includes the Narrows Bridge, Tacoma Dome, familiar buildings in Tacoma, and Puget Sound. A salmon jumps, back "Over" the Narrows Bridge completing the wrap-around pictorial story.

Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department

The Health Department wanted a visual change for their hand washing trailer (not shown) which is used at fairs and other events.  It was decided that the truck that pulled this trailer would add to the public awareness to this educational (hygiene and health) program.  Bob was commissioned to design and paint the truck, using the theme "Got Soap" .  Adding "Super Scrub" and "Miss Bubbles", characters  ties into the overall idea that clean hands reduces the spreading of  germs and diseases. The truck-trailer combination not only travels around the area schools and fairs, but is also used as a department vehicle for routine operations.
